The preseason is an odd time for sports. The games have no consequence beyond simple preparation for the upcoming season, very few will remember the outcomes of these games (except you sickos out there), and the stakes are imperceptibly low—especially for the Utah Jazz.
But isn’t that what makes this so fun?
For a Utah squad that has their season goal revolving around player development and a youth revolution, playing time won’t always spread evenly across each player’s box score, but the preseason is the time to see what this team is made of, and which players can rise up the depth chart to secure a legitimate role.
