SALT LAKE CITY (November 3, 2015) — In honor of Veterans Day, the Utah Jazz will again participate in the NBA’s league-wide Hoops for Troops Week (Nov. 3-11), featuring a community service project and in-arena activities to support and recognize active and retired service men, women and families.
On Friday, Nov. 6, the Jazz will tipoff their participation with a hands-on service project, called “Commitment to Service.” Jazz players, front office personnel and Orbital ATK executives will work side-by-side with local, active military members at the Utah Food Bank sorting food, packing backpacks with nutritious items, and working with children from the Sorenson Multi-Cultural Center in the Kids Café.
