Jazz notes: Utah ends up with an All-Star — sort of

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz have an All-Star, after all.

Though they still don’t have an NBA All-Star, mind you, one of their players, point guard Erick Green, was given that honor for his time in the D-League earlier this season.

Before begin signed to a 10-day contract with the Jazz on Monday, Green averaged 26.7 points, 4.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds for the Reno Bighorns.

The D-League All-Star Game will take place in conjunction with the NBA’s All-Star Weekend festivities on Feb. 13 in Toronto (noon, NBA TV).

Former BYU star Jimmer Fredette, who’s tearing it up with the Winchester Knicks, was also named a D-League All-Star.
