Jazz notes: Trey Burke is back in the NBA; Jazz waive Mitrou-Long

Former Jazzman Trey Burke is back in the NBA. Burke is expected to sign with the New York Knicks after putting up big numbers with the Westchester Knicks, New York’s G League affiliate. The former lottery pick is reuniting with his former University of Michigan teammate Tim Hardaway Jr. He averaged 26.6 points on 49 percent shooting for Westchester. The Knicks will be in town to face Utah at Vivint Arena on Friday, Jan. 19.

“It’s great just to have him here and be able to watch him,” Hardaway Jr. previously told the Deseret News. “He’s a great ball player and time will tell but I think he deserves to be in the NBA.
