The Utah Jazz will formally announce their roster for NBA summer league play on Thursday, but several players have already been confirmed as participants. 27-year-old James Southerland, a 6-foot-8, 221-pound forward out of Syracuse is the latest baller linked to Utah’s squad.
According to his agent, Andy Shiffman, he’ll join the team for both the Utah Jazz Summer League in Salt Lake City (July 3-6) and the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas (July 7-17)
Southerland spent parts of last season with Indios de Mayagüez in Puerto Rico, the Basketball Bundesliga’s s.Oliver Würzburg and Golden State’s G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
