It’s no secret among Utah Jazz fans that their team is largely expected to take a significant step backwards this upcoming season. Due to the loss of the team’s two leading scorers, Gordon Hayward and George Hill, as well as the drastic improvement of not only the Western Conference, but Utah’s Northwest Division specifically, many NBA experts expect the Jazz to have a hard time keeping pace in 2017-18.
Nevertheless, with Rudy Gobert anchoring the defense, Quin Snyder calling the shots and due to the savvy offseason moves of Dennis Lindsey and Co., many within the ranks of the Utah faithful have high hopes that the Jazz will actually exceed expectations and still be able to challenge for a playoff spot.
