It wasn’t as smooth as Monday’s win over the Boston Celtics, but the Utah Jazz fought back from an early deficit to pull out a 72-70 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night at EnergySolutions Arena.
Both teams shot well below 40 percent from the field (Utah at 36.6 percent, San Antonio at 34.8 percent) while fighting the fatigue playing two games in as many days.
Rodney Hood scored a team-high 18 points for the Jazz, while Brock Motum and Chris Johnson also hit double digits with 10 points each.
San Antonio’s Kyle Anderson hit his first five shots and eventually led all scorers with 25 points (on 8-for-14 from the field and 8-for-9 from the line), but he went only 1-for-4 in the fourth quarter and missed a layup attempt that would have tied the game with the clock winding down.
