When he was waived by the Utah Jazz alongside Marcus Paige and Eric Dawson last week, the prevailing belief was that Quincy Ford would end up with the team’s D-League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. Our network’s resident D-League guru, Chris Reichert of Upside Motor, even reported as much.
However, the New Orleans Pelicans may have altered Utah’s plans.
The Pelicans announced on Monday that Ford has inked a deal to join New Orleans’ roster to close out the preseason. Terms of the contract were undisclosed, but Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders is reporting it as a non-guaranteed deal for just over $540,000.
