Legendary Utah Jazz head coach and former NBA player Jerry Sloan has informed the public that he is suffering from Parkinson's disease and Lewy body dementia, according to a report published by Salt Lake Tribune reporter Steve Luhm on Wednesday afternoon.

Sloan has been serving in an advisory capacity with the Utah Jazz organization since 2013, two years after his sudden midseason retirement in February 2011.
