Former Jazz coach says playoff run-and-gun isn't the whole story, makes Finals prediction

SALT LAKE CITY — Having coached some of the great scorers in basketball history, Tom Nissalke has one wish for this year’s NBA Finals between Golden State and Cleveland: to see them doing the hard stuff.

The fancy shooting should be a bonus.

This year’s Finals present the most intriguing pairing in recent history. On one hand, there are the Warriors, who never saw a 3-pointer they could resist. For them, “out of range” means anywhere outside the area code.

Then there are the Cavaliers, who were dangerous even without All-Star guard Kyrie Irving. Now that he’s back and teamed with the game’s best player — LeBron James — the Cavs are as intriguing as Golden State.
