Decades later, Thurl Bailey and N.C. State get to visit the White House

Former Jazz player Thurl Bailey sang the national anthem and came to see former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan have his banner unveiled in his honor during halftime of the Utah Jazz game in Salt Lake City Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.

The former Jazz player paved the way for his teammates to earn a once-in-a-lifetime visit with President Obama 33 years after winning the NCAA championship.

“After all these years we get a chance to go to the White House together.”
