Brice Sensabaugh, the former Ohio State Buckeye and the one they call “Sensei”, was selected with the 28th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. Similar to his teammate, Taylor Hendricks, Sensabaugh didn’t see much floor time with the Jazz until the second half of the 2023-24 season. He flashed the scoring potential that scouts saw while he was in college and had Jazz fans optimistic that their late first-rounder was on a path to real contribution.
Averaging 7.5 points per contest in 18 minutes, Sensabaugh was never the first option on an offense that often included Lauri Markkanen (who may be the best “no waste” offensive player in basketball), Jordan Clarkson, and Keyonte George.
