Karl Malone had struggled for a couple of games, so he decided to change shoes. The change worked, as he exploded for 51 points to lead the Utah Jazz to a 123-109 victory over the Golden State Warriors. The Jazz trailed 74-58 midway through the third quarter, but Malone scored 18 points over the remained 7:40 of the period to help the Jazz tie the score at the end of that stanza.
