The Utah Jazz were the benefactors of missed buzzer-beaters to open the second-round series with the San Antonio Spurs.

Spurs rookie Tim Duncan missed in Game 1 to give the Jazz a 83-82 victory.

In Game 2, Jaren Jackson missed at the end of regulation and Vinny Del Negro missed in overtime in a 109-106 Utah win.
