In breaking NBA Trade news, the Memphis Grizzlies have traded point guard Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, and the #23 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Grizzlies also receive a future 1st round pick in the trade.
Trade rumors surrounding Mike Conley have been wide ever since February’s trade deadline as he’s due $32.5 MM in the 2019-20 season, and the Grizzlies are entering a rebuild. Kyle Korver and Jae Crowder were needed as part of the deal to make the money work. Grayson Allen didn’t play much as a rookie in 2018-19.

The 1st Round pick the Jazz are sending to Memphis is a 2020 protected pick, which will convey as a 2020 or 2021 late-lottery pick, or become a lesser-protected pick in 2022, 2023, or 2024. The deal will complete on July 6th.
With the trade, the Grizzlies now have the #2 and #23 picks in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Jazz only have the #53 pick in the 2nd round.
