The ping pong balls are in, and the Utah Jazz will pick fifth in the 2014 NBA Draft. While they had a 37.8% chance to get in the top 3, the Jazz will select at number five overall as a result of their 25-57 record from 2013-14, fourth worst in the league.
The Jazz sent their 14th and 21st picks to the Timberwolves last year in order to obtain the reigning National Player of the Year from Michigan, Trey Burke.
With number five, there’s plenty of talent for the Jazz to choose from. Top prospects include:
Noah Vonleh, Indiana PF.
Julius Randle, Kentucky PF.
Aaron Gordon, Arizona PF.
Marcus Smart, Oklahoma State PG
Though he's had limited exposure in the US, Dante Exum, the 6'6" guard from Australia has caught the attention of many scouts.
The 2014 NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 26.
