As the College Park Center crowd roared Sunday for Dallas Wings’ guards Odyssey Sims and Skylar Diggins, I thought about what could have been.
It seems like just yesterday I was standing in the tunnels of the center before the team unveiled its jerseys when Sims said her and Diggins were working on becoming some of the best backcourts in the WNBA.
Now, the Wings have the second-worst record in the league at 9-18 with only seven games remaining in their season. Currently, the Wings are one-and-a-half games out of a playoff spot despite losing eight consecutive games.
