The Dallas Wings (9-20) fell short of their 10th win Sunday at College Park Center.
Dallas trailed the Atlanta Dream (7-22) for most of the game but came alive in the fourth quarter. Guard Arike Ogunbowale scored 12 points in the period before the Dream closed out the game on top by a score of 77-73.
“We shouldn’t have put ourselves in that position in the first place,” Ogunbowale said of the team’s fourth-quarter rally. “We just didn’t really have intensity, we let other things affect us.”
Atlanta came into Sunday’s game at the bottom of the WNBA standings, while Dallas sat five games out of the league’s eighth and final playoff spot.
