The volleyball team’s (11-8, 3-4) comeback rally fell short at 3-2 against Georgia State University on Saturday at College Park Center.
The Mavericks dropped the first two sets before forcing a fifth set by winning the next two. Head coach J.T. Wenger said the team fought for every inch of this match of fine margins.
In crucial moments, Wenger said his team needs to take more ownership of the match because against good teams, UTA can’t rely on opponents giving away many points.
Georgia State tallied 18 kills on 24 attacks with only one error to win the first set 25-13, posting a strong 0.
