UTA track and field teams place well in competition

The track and field team placed well at the 91st annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, during the weekend.

With his teammates in Longhorn country, senior thrower Adam Damadzic competed at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas. Damadzic posted a throw of 55.40 meters in the men's discus, breaking a 38-year-old school record. A day later, he then traveled to Austin where he took second in the men's discus with a best throw of 55.11 meters.

Sophomore distance-runner Justin Domangue took third in the men’s 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:09.46.

Junior jumper Alexus Henry finished first in the women’s high jump section of the heptathlon, and 11th overall in the heptathlon, scoring a total of 5,120 points.
