The indoor track and field teams returned to College Station over the weekend to compete in the Charlie Thomas Invitational at Texas A&M University.
It was the second time UTA has visited Texas A&M’s Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium this season. The Mavericks competed in the Ted Nelson Invitational in January, where the men’s team finished third and the women’s team finished eighth.
The men finished third this time around as well, tying with UT-San Antonio at 57 points.
The Mavericks saw podium-worthy showings from their 3000-meter and heptathlon participants.
Junior distance runner Justin Domangue won the men’s 3000-meter with a time of 8 minutes, 23 seconds.
