A year removed from its historic season, the softball team is aiming for new heights under head coach Peejay Brun and her coaching staff.
Brun said she was unsure if her first season would see progression or head-butting. That uncertainty is in the past now, and she hopes to springboard into this new campaign.
“This year is not ‘How do we repeat last year,’” she said. “It’s ‘How are we going to build on to that,’ and the players are the ones who are leading the conversations,” Brun said.
The team finished fourth in the Sun Belt Conference standings in 2018 and was invited for the National Invitational Softball Championship.
