UTA men’s basketball (13-14, 6-7) defeated Tarleton State University (11-17, 6-7) 67-57 on Saturday night at College Park Center.
CPC was electric from start to finish with 5,183 fans packing the park, marking the seventh-highest attendance in men's basketball history for the Mavs at the CPC.
“I really want to thank the fans for coming out tonight. They were big time,” head coach KT Turner said. “They really helped us win this game, and they were huge. I want to give them a special thank you.”
The Mavericks got off to a slow start, allowing the Texans to go on a 10-1 run to begin the game.
