When senior long-distance runner Craig Lautenslager crossed the finish line at the NCAA championships last Saturday, he knew it was his last time running a cross-country event with UTA on his chest.
Lautenslager and junior long-distance runner Michael Guerrero made history as the first pair of long-distance runners from UTA to compete at nationals. Lautenslager finished 175th in the last event of his collegiate cross-country career.
“It was a historic deal that me and Mike were both able to make nationals,” Lautenslager said. “Our season overall was a success, and you can’t take that away from us.
