As they head into the postseason, two volleyball players were awarded All-Sun Belt Conference honors.
Senior outside hitter Qiana Canete was named first-team all-conference and junior middle blocker Zhanelle Geathers was named to the second-team.
This is the second consecutive time Canete has been awarded the accolade, while it is a first for Geathers.
Over the regular season, Canete led the team with 389 kills while averaging 3.60 kills per set. She broke UTA’s all-time career kills record that was previously set at 1,416. Canete now has 1,486 kills in her career and currently ranks third in conference kills.
