The College of Nursing and Health Innovation is now the largest producer of trained nurses in Texas, according to a UTA press release. It grew by 16 percent from last spring, making it the third largest producer of trained nurses in the nation.
Preliminary spring 2016 enrollment figures show that UTA has reached a total of 50,661 degree seeking students attending on-campus and online programs. A record 38,650 Texas-based students are enrolled at UTA this semester, up from 36,460 in spring 2015, according to the release.
“These numbers continue to demonstrate that UTA is increasingly an institution of first choice for students across Texas and globally, due to our faculty of national renown, cutting edge research, and focus on maintaining accessibility and affordability,” President Vistasp Karbhari said in the release.
