The men’s cross-country team finished seventh with 273 points at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Saturday, while the women’s team finished 24th of 27 with 719 points.
Junior Justin Domangue topped the Mavericks, completing the men’s 8-kilometer race 12th in 24:44. Senior Michael Guerrero placed 13th overall, finishing just one second behind Domangue.
Junior Cole Klashinsky placed 43rd with a 25:31 time, senior Grayson Birka finished 105th in 26:19 and freshman Jared Lautenslager rounded out the scoring, placing 111th in 26:26. Sixth runner sophomore Eliseo Rodriguez finished 197th in 28:16.
The women’s race saw three schools not have enough runners to officially place in the final standings, leaving the Mavericks last of 24 schools.
