UTA athletes and alumni helped lead the U.S. men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball teams to victory in their preliminary round games at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Lady Movin’ Mavs sophomore Rose Hollermann contributed 29 points in the women’s team’s 93-37 win over France. Sophomore Abby Dunkin chipped in six points.
For the men’s team, UTA alumni Aaron Gouge and Michael Paye scored four points and two points, respectively, in the team’s 75-38 win over Brazil.
