The second-annual Maverick Musical had singing and dancing, not only by the performers on stage, but also by the students in their seats.
The event, hosted by Excel as part of Greek Week, involved six student groups who performed a variety of musical numbers.
Groups were judged by a panel of seven, which included UTA first lady Lisa Karbhari, Timothy Quinnan, vice president for Student Affairs and Dan Dipert, former CEO of Dan Dipert Tours and Coaches.
Four awards were given out. Freshmen Leaders on Campus won the People’s Choice award and walked away with a trophy.
