Long-distance runner leads men's cross-country to best regional finish in UTA history

Senior long-distance runner Craig Lautenslager led the Mavericks to a third-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional, their best finish in school history at a regional.

Lautenslager finished eighth overall with a 10K time of 30:22.0. Junior long-distance runner Michael Guerrero joined him in the top 10 with a ninth-place performance and a 10K time of 30:32.5. Friday marked the first time in school history two UTA runners finished in the top 10 at a regional meet.

Freshman long-distance runner Justin Domangue finished 19th overall with an individual time of 31:05.5.

On the women's side, sophomore long-distance runner Macey Beazley led the Mavericks with an individual time of 23:06.
