The return of guard Skylar Diggins wasn’t enough to break the Dallas Wings (3-6) five game losing streak Saturday as they fell to the Los Angeles Sparks (9-0) 97-73 at College Park Center.
Turnovers troubled the Wings in the first quarter as they had more turnovers (nine) than made shots (three). After the first quarter the Wings trailed the Sparks 26-11.
The Wings made up some ground in the second quarter, cutting the Sparks lead as low as 11, but couldn’t finish the quarter strong and went into the half trailing 50-32.
Wings backcourt duo Odyssey Sims and Diggins led the charge to start the third quarter as they scored 13 of the Wings 25 points in the quarter.
