The women's basketball team (14-5, 6-2) won their fourth consecutive home game in Sun Belt Conference play, defeating Georgia State University by a score of 69-45 on Saturday at College Park Center.
The team hit 10 3-pointers against Georgia State, one short of tying their season-high. UTA shot 45 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
Senior guard Cierra Johnson hit a double-double, her second of the season, with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Head coach Krista Gerlich said without Johnson's leadership and impact on the court, it’s difficult to win a game.
