Three-pointers rained and buckets flew in as the women’s basketball team (18-10-12-4) dominated in a 101-73 win over Georgia Southern University on Saturday at College Park Center.
The historic game was the Lady Mavericks’ seventh ever 100-point game and had the most assists recorded with 33. The 14 successful 3-pointers set a new program record, surpassing one that stood for nearly 16 years.
The win was UTA’s fifth win on the bounce and secured them the right to host Sun Belt Conference tournament play. If Thursday's game showcased the Lady Mavericks’ tenacious defense, Saturday’s matchup showed how lethal UTA can be in attack.
