The cross-country teams competed in the 31st Annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival on Saturday in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The men’s team finished 17th of 32 teams in their 8-kilometer heat, while the women finished 16th of 27 teams in their 5-kilometer race.
Senior Justin Domangue placed 17th out of 315 total runners with a 24:19 time in the 8k race to pace the Mavericks. Junior Cole Klashinsky placed 115th with a time of 25:40, while freshman Marquentin Barnes finished 130th with a time of 25:49.
Sophomore Connor Butterfield placed 144th, clocking in at 25:58, and freshman Jack Myers rounded out the scoring for UTA in 154th with a time of 26:10.
