Tobi Fawehinmi, junior track and field jumper, was selected for the U.S. Paralympic Track and Field Team.
He is one of 66 members selected for the team, and will compete in the 200-meter, 4-by-100 meter relay, long jump and the triple jump.
Fawehinmi holds the world record for the longest triple jump among paralympic athletes with a leap of 11 ½ inches for 50 feet at the 2016 NCAA West Preliminary Round.
Fawehinmi will appear in his second Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from Sept. 7 to 18. He finished fifth in the triple jump and 10th in the long jump at the 2012 London Games.
