The Sun Belt Conference named junior center Rebekah VanDijk the women's basketball player of the week Monday.
The honor is VanDijk’s third of the season and the Lady Maverick's sixth overall – the most of any team in the conference. Junior guards Christina Devers and Cierra Johnson are previous recipients. Johnson received the honor Feb. 27.
VanDijk leads UTA in points, rebounds and blocks per game, and she is currently 10th on UTA’s all-time scoring list.
