Fliers with the headline “VOTE NO TO ANOTHER RANGERS STADIUM!” are appearing around some Arlington neighborhoods.
Former UTA employee Peggy Rudd helped make the fliers along with her husband in protest of the proposed new Texas Rangers ballpark. She said they have been to over 8,000 homes so far.
The new ballpark is estimated to cost $1 billion and the design includes a retractable roof, according to a City of Arlington press release. According to the master agreement, the funding for the new stadium would be split 50-50 between the Texas Rangers and the City of Arlington.
