A vintage performance by Skylar Diggins carried the Dallas Wings (5-7) over the Phoenix Mercury (4-8) in triple-overtime 117-111 win at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
The Wings entered the second half trailing 48-42 when the Mercury dominated the third quarter outscoring them 27-17.
After trailing by as many as 17, the Dallas Wings forced overtime behind a 15-point fourth quarter outburst by guard Diggins as they outscored the Mercury 28-12 in the quarter.
In the first overtime, a free throw by forward Plenette Pierson put the Wings ahead 96-94 with 14.5 seconds left. The Mercury answered with 6.
