Dallas Wings set new scoring record; suffer sixth-straight loss against New York Liberty

The Wings (9-28) looked to avenge their Tuesday loss in a rematch against the New York Liberty (31-6). However, they dropped their sixth-straight game, 99-67.

Despite the loss, Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale surpassed Deanna Nolan, former Detroit Shock guard, becoming the Wings’ all-time leading scorer with 3,972 points in Thursday’s game at College Park Center. Nolan set the previous record in 293 games between 2001-2009. Ogunbowale achieved the milestone in 193 games, six seasons since being drafted by Dallas in 2019.

The Dallas Wings, once known as the Shock, was one of the first WNBA expansion teams in 1998, relocating to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2010 where they played as the Tulsa Shock until 2015.
