Female athletes from across the U.S. and Canada joined the Lady Movin’ Mavs for the 5th annual Women's Wheelchair Development Camp on Monday.
Stunned expressions covered the faces of the participants when the Dallas Wings walked into the Physical Education Building gym.
Those stunned expressions turned into all smiles when they realized that players like Skylar Diggins-Smith and Liz Cambage were standing right in from of them — in real life — not on a TV screen.
“The Wings are always awesome, like they jump in chairs, they try to, like, get on the girls' level, they try to experience life with a disability and shoot with us in our chairs,” camp coordinator Darlene Hunter said.
