The Dallas Wings (14-12) made a 24-point comeback only to come up short in the end, losing 92-91 to the Chicago Sky (10-17) on Tuesday night at College Park Center.
After an eight-day break for the All-Star game, the Wings showed signs of rust in the first half of the game against the Sky.
“I appreciate our effort, how well we fought back and battled being down by 24,” head coach Fred Williams said. “We just got to, you know, play a better first half versus what we did today.”
The first quarter started off strong for center Liz Cambage, who scored seven of Dallas’ first eight points, taking the early 8-7 lead.
