The unfamiliar sight of football in March was the scene of a new chapter in the ongoing Dallas and Houston sports rivalry Sunday at Globe Life Park.
Before the game between the Dallas Renegades and the Houston Roughnecks, tailgating fans chanted “Houston sucks” in the parking lot.
During the game, some of the Renegades staff were banging trash cans when the Roughnecks’ offense took the field as a way to recreate the Houston Astros’ cheating scandal.
“Texas loves football,” Renegades running back Lance Dunbar said. “What a better way to have a great rivalry in Texas, two teams battling it out for bragging rights.
