More than one week after former head coach Scott Cross was fired, settlement negotiations between him and the university remain ongoing, said Richard Kilwien, senior associate athletic director for communications.
Prior to being fired, Cross had two years left on his contract, as it was extended in March 2016 through the 2019-20 season.
In regard to the specifics, Kilwien said university officials do not comment on personnel issues.
While negotiations have been underway, Athletic Director Jim Baker said in a March 27 interview that a new head coach will be announced at the end of the week.
