On Jan. 23, Brittni Mohle, a former volleyball player for Texas Wesleyan University, accused head coach Priscilla Morgan of discrimination — cutting her from the team because of her sexual orientation.
The accusations came after Mohle was cut from the team because of “performance issues” in December. Mohle posted a tweet addressing the situation, saying, “Not only did she cut me, but she took my money for this semester, knowing that this would make it impossible to continue my education at Texas Wesleyan.”
Despite the fact that Mohle was ranked fourth in points this past season, was one of three players to start in more than 15 matches and one of five to play in all 34 matches, the sophomore said in a tweet, “I’m not the one to think the worst of people so I stayed away from the thought that there might have been other motives behind it.
