UTA Baseball lost for the third consecutive game as Louisiana Tech prevailed 7-3 on Saturday at Clay Gould Ballpark.
"We pitched good enough to win — we have to find a way to score," head coach Darin Thomas said. "But before we find a way to score, we have to play defense."
The Mavericks took an early lead when senior catcher Brady Cox earned an RBI in the first inning. The highlight of the game for the Mavericks was a home run from sophomore first baseman Noah Vaughan in the second inning.
After both teams were scoreless in the third and fourth innings, the Bulldogs scored five consecutive runs between the fifth and seventh innings.
