All-Star Village welcomes generations of baseball fans

After three months of planning, Cincinnati resident Chris Newsome, his father, son and nephew, got on a 10 a.m. flight Sunday morning. Hours later, they checked into their hotel, dropped off their luggage and caught an Uber to the Major League Baseball All-Star Village.

“A little vacation I guess you could call it,” Newsome said.

Baseball’s been a part of him since birth, he said. From his father, himself and now the kids, everybody has played and developed a passion for the sport.

“Baseball was always a part of my life from the day I was born,” Newsome said.
