Eight student athletes made early commitments to the UTA baseball team Friday.
Six high school students and two transfers signed national letters of intent to join the baseball team in 2018.

- Andrew Gross, Right-handed pitcher (Chandler, Ariz. / Yavapai College)
- Justin Marino, Catcher/Infield (Arlington, Texas / Mansfield High School)
- David Moffat, Right-handed pitcher (Wichita Falls, Texas / Rider High School)
- Boone Montgomery, Shortstop/Right-handed pitcher (Grapevine, Texas / Grapevine High School)
- Colby Price, Outfield (Nederland, Texas / Panola Junior College)
- David Renning, Outfield (Garland, Texas / Sachse High School)
- Carlos Tavera, Right-handed pitcher (Fort Worth, Texas / Fossil Ridge High School)
