10 UTA students, alumni in Rio Paralympic Games

The Lady Movin’ Mavs and UTA alumni will participate in the 2016 Summer Paralympics beginning with the opening ceremony Wednesday in Rio de Janeiro.

The U.S. Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Team, featuring Lady Movin’ Mavs sophomores Rose Hollermann and Abby Dunkin, will play its first game at 8 a.m. Thursday against France in Carioca Arena 1.

The U.S. Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team, featuring UTA alumni Aaron Gouge and Michael “Mike” Paye, will play its first game at 1:15 p.m. against Brazil in the Rio Olympic Arena.

Junior jumper Tobi Fawehinmi will represent the U.S. in the Paralympic track and field events.
