Bryce Dixon’s possible return to the USC football team inched closer to reality Thursday when a judge signed a written order staying the talented tight end’s expulsion from the school.
Dixon is seeking reinstatement after being expelled in May for violating USC’s sexual-misconduct policy. Dixon and attorney Mark Hathaway are appealing that ruling in Los Angeles County Superior Court, contending that Dixon was not granted due process.
Hathaway has forwarded the order to USC. The school said in a statement Wednesday it would “carefully evaluate the judge’s written order once it is issued in order to determine our next steps.
