PASADENA >> If USC played against Washington last week like the Trojans did against UCLA on Saturday night, the Trojans would probably no longer be in the conversation to win the Pacific-12 Conference South Division.
Maybe it was a Washington hangover the Trojans experienced inside a dreary Rose Bowl, falling behind UCLA on the first possession and making it closer than expected in the first half before rallying for a 36-14 victory.
If USC wanted an emotional lift from the fans, it never materialized 2010. The announced crowd of 71,137 was the smallest since 2010 and second-lowest crowd since UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl in 1982.
